Old Dixie School House

Come take a tour of the Old Dixie Schoolhouse located in front of Miller Creek Middle School. Learn about the Dixie Schoolhouse and how life was back over a hundred years ago. You and your family are invited to share this great experience and visit the historic site. Tours are available the first SUNDAY of each month from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm.

The Dixie Schoolhouse is both historically and architecturally significant in relationship to early California. Not only does it provide a valuable link to the well-known James Miller family, but it is Marin County’s last remaining mid-Victorian one-room schoolhouse. The other schoolhouses of this era have either been converted to private residences or demolished.

Come check it out.
